Water festival is a big national traditional festival that is always celebrated for 3 days every year in Cambodia, and last year 2007 it was celebrated from 11 to 13 November, so those days was the public holidays for Cambodian. First day, most people always go to their hometown to visit their relative who live in province/city in Cambodia with their family because they though that the best place where they should go to visit first was their hometown. When they arrive there, they can see their relatives smiling at them that was meant they welcome to them who have come to visit them, moreover, they always bring anything there for their relative, and they always spend a night there because they come back on the second day of water festival day. The second and third day of water festival, most people always go to riverside to see the royal palace and visit racing boats there. In conclusion, the water festival is an enjoyable public holidays for Cambodian and foreigners who are in Cambodia.
